BETHEL, CT (April 21, 2016) –Duracell, the No. 1 battery brand trusted by consumers all over the world, announced today that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Germain Racing to feature the Duracell special military brand on Casey Mears’ No. 13 GEICO Chevrolet SS during the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In four of the 2016 races, Germain Racing will feature a special Duracell Military logo on the No. 13 car and on Mears’ uniform. Germain will provide Duracell with track hospitality packages consisting of:
Duracell will be awarding these hospitality packages to active duty and retired military service members. Races where Duracell will honor our fallen heroes are: The NASCAR Sprint Showdown – May 20, Charlotte Motor Speedway; The Coca-Cola 600 – May 29, Charlotte Motor Speedway; The AAA Texas 500 – November 6, Texas Motor Speedway; and The Can-Am 500 – November 13, Phoenix International Raceway. The No. 13 Chevrolet SS showcar will also appear at various military exchange and commissary locations. In addition, Duracell will be a full-season associate sponsor and will appear on the “B-post” of the car beginning this weekend at Richmond International Raceway.
